Description
Geometry + Material importer/simplifier for SketchUp
Direct link with Quixel Megascans Bridge
With a couple of clicks, you can send Megascans assets from Quixel Bridge to SketchUp. Transmutr will make sure everything is converted correctly, you will get all the materials settings set up in the Megascans asset, down to the perfect amount of reflection or displacement. This is the exact workflow we all use at Professional CAD Systems to import high quality components + materials into SketchUp. Check out our workflow tutorial HERE
Geometry Simplification
Simplify high-poly objects with millions of faces down to a few thousands or hundreds. As SketchUp cannot handle very high-poly objects without using proxies, Transmutr can drastically reduce the number of faces, while preserving the overall shape of the original object.
You can fine-tune the simplification level to get the exact result you want.
Automated render-ready materials
Automatically convert render-ready materials or tweak them with just a few clicks. Transmutr extracts as much data as possible from the source file to automatically create render-ready materials. This saves you from tedious manual work to recreate materials that were already made in the source software (3dsmax, blender, Cinema4D, Quixel, REVIT etc). Of course, you can easily edit and tweak the materials by adding maps or adjusting the main values.
Currently supports importing .SKP, .FBX, .OBJ, .3DS, .DAE, and .STL.
Automated proxies
With a single click Transmutr can generate proxies for Enscape, Thea and V-Ray. Proxy components are used to replace components in your SketchUp model for faster processing. You will still see the fully quality when you render, it only removes the model in the SketchUp viewport and replaces it with a simplified placeholder. You can choose between various options for the placeholder, like Bounding Box, Face Skipping, Simplified Geometry, Billboard, etc.
Simplify existing SketchUp Components + Groups
SketchUp running slow after importing a high polygon model? You can either convert the model into an external proxy or you can use the mesh simplification slider to reduce the triangle count in the selected component or group.
