Skatter 2 distributes vegetation, people, rocks and cars across your SketchUp model. Use it for landscapes or cityscapes, with every distribution parameter saved and editable.
Render-only mode sends the scattering directly to the render engine, bypassing SketchUp so the model stays light. Choose an annual fixed-seat licence, a floating licence, or the bundle with Transmutr Artist.

Populate a landscape with vegetation, or add people and cars to a city scene. Save each composition so you can return to it and change the settings.
Render a dense scene with a lighter SketchUp model
Render-only scattering bypasses SketchUp and sends the objects to the render engine. Use camera clipping and level of detail to limit the detail needed for a view.
Vary placement, scale and materials
Choose Random, Uniform, Grid, Faces or Vertices distributions. Randomise translation, rotation, scale and mirroring, and vary materials across the scattered objects.
Group similar objects into zones
Use zones to group similar objects rather than mixing every asset evenly across the surface.
Start with render-ready content
Skatter includes 3D Bazaar, a repository of render-ready assets. Many vegetation assets include Skatter compositions that are ready to use.
Stay in control of where objects go
Create masks from existing objects and lines, paint them by hand, or use image files. The setup remains editable, so you can change the distribution as the design develops.
Scatter on more than flat ground
Distribute objects on vertical walls and complex shapes. Use Look-at, discrete rotations and mirroring to control their orientation.

Render-only controls reduce the objects and detail needed for each view.

Skatter 2 FAQs
Which SketchUp versions and operating systems are supported?
Skatter supports SketchUp 2022 and later on Windows and Mac. Lindale specifies Windows 10/11 or macOS 12 and later, a quad-core processor at 3 GHz or faster, and at least 8 GB of RAM.
Which renderers support render-only scattering?
Skatter supports render-only scattering with Enscape and V-Ray.
Are Skatter licences annual?
Yes. Fixed seat, Floating and Skatter + Transmutr Artist are annual licences. Fixed seat can be installed on two computers and used on one at a time. Floating can be installed anywhere, with concurrent use limited to your seat count.
What is included in the Transmutr bundle?
The Skatter + Transmutr Artist bundle includes fixed-seat licences for Skatter and Transmutr Artist. Transmutr prepares the assets; Skatter distributes them in SketchUp.
