Ultra-ergonomic handle

A grip that works around the part

The multi-position handle supports one-handed scanning from the top, side or underside, helping operators stay comfortable as they move around complex geometry.

Multifunctional touchscreen

Keep scan feedback in view

The integrated display keeps distance, coverage and scanner controls close to the object, so the operator can stay focused even when the computer is out of sight.

Haptic communication

Feel when the scan needs attention

Recognisable vibration patterns provide immediate guidance on scanning conditions, helping the operator react without breaking their movement around the part.

Scanner plus Peel.CAD

A practical bridge from mesh to CAD

Peel 3.CAD combines the handheld scanner with tools for extracting geometrical entities, surfaces and cross-sections from scan data. Export the useful design information into your preferred downstream CAD package instead of rebuilding every reference from scratch.

Extract entities

Build useful references from the scan rather than treating the mesh as a visual backdrop.

Create sections

Generate cross-sections and profiles at the locations your design needs.

Fit surfaces

Create surface references for downstream reverse engineering.

Purpose-built tools around scan data

Work with the mesh in a focused interface, then hand off only the geometry your model needs. This keeps Peel 3.CAD useful across different engineering teams without forcing a wholesale change of CAD platform.

peel 3.CAD questions

What does Peel.CAD add to Peel.OS?

Peel.OS handles capture and mesh processing. Peel.CAD adds tools for extracting geometrical entities, surfaces and cross-sections for use in downstream CAD software.

What is the difference between Peel.CAD and Peel.CAD Pro?

Peel.CAD prepares entities and references for another CAD package. Peel.CAD Pro adds sketching, modelling, model comparison and a more complete scan-to-CAD workflow inside the Peel environment.

Which CAD formats can it export?

The current official workflow includes STP, IGS, CSV and DXF outputs for extracted geometry. We will prove the required hand-off with your software during evaluation.

Are positioning targets always required?

No. Peel 3 can position from geometry, targets and texture. Targets are useful on flatter or smoother surfaces, or when accuracy is the priority.

Can we test our own part and CAD system?

Yes. Bring a representative part and identify the required downstream output. We will evaluate capture, extraction and transfer as one workflow.

What local support is available?

Professional CAD Systems provides New Zealand-based evaluation, setup, training and technical support. Current hardware, software and protection-plan terms are confirmed with your quote.
