AESUB 3D scanning spray for clean scans, without cleanup

AESUB applies a temporary matt white coating to shiny, dark and transparent parts so optical scanners can capture clean geometry. Choose Blue for everyday work or Orange when you need a longer scanning window. Both self-sublimate after scanning.

Cleaner geometry

Reduce reflections, noise and holes before they reach your mesh.

Pigment-free

A homogeneous white coating without contaminating pigment.

No cleaning

The coating disappears by sublimation after the scan.

Why scanning spray

Give your scanner a surface it can see

Reflective surfaces bounce scanner light, dark parts absorb it, and transparent parts let it pass through. AESUB creates a thin, even matt surface so the scanner can capture the part instead of the glare.

Reflective

Control glare on polished and metallic parts.

Dark

Create a readable surface on light-absorbing materials.

Transparent

Add temporary opacity to clear and translucent parts.

Currently available in New Zealand

Blue for everyday scans. Orange for longer jobs.

Both sprays create a white, homogeneous and pigment-free coating. The key difference is how long the coating remains stable before it sublimates.

Can of AESUB Blue self-vanishing 3D scanning spray

AESUB Blue

The everyday choice for small to medium parts and jobs you can complete in one scanning session.

  • Effective scan time: approx. 1-2 hours
  • Sublimation time: approx. 4 hours
  • Layer thickness: 8-15 µm
  • Best for routine scanning and faster turnaround
Can of AESUB Orange long-lasting self-vanishing 3D scanning spray

AESUB Orange

A longer working window for large parts, multiple scanner setups and more involved measurement work.

  • Effective scan time: approx. 4-8 hours
  • Sublimation time: approx. 12-24 hours
  • Layer thickness: 2-6 µm
  • Best for longer and multi-setup scan jobs

How it works

Spray. Scan. Done.

Replace the usual coat, scan, clean cycle with a temporary scanning surface that disappears by itself.

AESUB spray being applied evenly to a part

1Spray

Apply evenly from about 15-20 cm. Follow the can label and safety instructions for the product and material.

2Scan

Wait until the coating is dry and stable, then capture the consistent matt surface.

Finished scan workflow after the AESUB coating has sublimated

3Done

The coating self-sublimates, removing the usual post-scan cleaning step.

AESUB spray questions

Should I choose AESUB Blue or Orange?

Choose Blue for routine jobs that can be scanned within about 1-2 hours. Choose Orange when a large part, multiple setups or a longer inspection needs about 4-8 hours of effective scan time.

What surfaces is AESUB scanning spray for?

It is designed to give reflective, dark and transparent surfaces a temporary matt finish that optical scanners can read more consistently. Test first on sensitive or unfamiliar materials.

Do I need to clean the part afterwards?

AESUB Blue and Orange are designed to self-sublimate, so there is normally no coating cleanup after scanning. Always confirm material compatibility and follow the product instructions.

How do I apply it?

Follow the can label. Apply light, even passes from about 15-20 cm and begin scanning once the white coating is dry and stable.

Which AESUB sprays does PCS currently sell?

We currently sell AESUB Blue and AESUB Orange. Talk to us about the part, scan duration and quantity you need.

What safety information should I check?

These are aerosol products. Read the current label and safety data sheet before use, and follow the stated ventilation, handling, storage and personal protection requirements.
