Who is the PRO Series for?
Teams that want the proven HandySCAN platform at its best value point - reverse engineering, product development and general inspection where 0.030 mm accuracy is enough and budget matters. The bundled Scan-to-CAD module makes it a complete part-to-model workflow out of the box.
How does it compare with the BLACK Elite and EVO Series?
The BLACK Elite and EVO Series measure tighter (0.025 mm and 0.020 mm) at higher rates, and the EVO adds an on-tool touchscreen and wireless scanning. The PRO trades a little accuracy and speed for a significantly lower price with software bundled. We'll help you match the tier to your tolerances.
Do I need targets or spray to scan?
Positioning targets give the scanner its self-positioning ability, which is what keeps hand-held measurement accurate. Most surfaces scan without coating; for the stubborn ones a sublimating spray like AESUB does the job and disappears on its own.
What software is included?
Creaform.OS handles acquisition, and the PRO Series bundles the Scan-to-CAD application module. Data exports to PolyWorks, Geomagic, SOLIDWORKS, CATIA, NX, Creo, Inventor and the other tools engineering teams already use.
