SketchUp renewals in NZ - keep your subscription active

SketchUp subscriptions renew annually. Renewing through Professional CAD Systems keeps your licence on NZ invoicing with local support - and with an account on this site, renewals can look after themselves.

How renewals work

  • With a card on file, your subscription renews automatically each year - no lapsed licence, no re-setup.
  • We email a reminder 30 days and 7 days before renewal, so nothing is a surprise.
  • Prefer manual renewal or paying by invoice? Manage it under your subscriptions or contact us.

What happens if my subscription expires?

When a subscription lapses, access to the subscription apps ends until it is renewed - Trimble doesn't offer a read-only grace mode - though your files stay safe in Trimble Connect and remain viewable through SketchUp for Web's free tier. Recently lapsed subscriptions can be renewed directly from your account; if a licence has been expired for a long period, get in touch and we will sort the cleanest path back to a current licence.

Renewing education licences

Student, educator and institution licences renew on their own education pricing - see education licences or ask us to confirm your eligibility before renewal - renew before the expiry date and access carries on uninterrupted.

Still on a classic (perpetual) licence?

Trimble discontinued classic perpetual licences in November 2020, and the maintenance plans with them - new versions are subscription-only, and classic licences for SketchUp 2017 and older can no longer be authorised at all. If you are still running an old classic licence, talk to us about moving to a current subscription.

Renewal questions

Can I renew early?

Yes - renewing early extends from your existing expiry date, so you never lose time.

Does my price change at renewal?

Renewals are charged at the current NZD price for your plan. We publish pricing on each product page, and any change is visible before you are charged.

Can I move a licence between machines or people?

A subscription follows its named user and can be signed in on up to two devices - deauthorise one from your Trimble account to move to a new machine. Seats are named-user under Trimble's policy; reassigning one to a different person is possible at specific times, so ask us and we will sort it.

Do I lose my Trimble Connect files if I lapse?

No - Trimble doesn't document any automatic deletion. Your projects stay in Trimble Connect; without an active subscription you're limited to the free tier (10 GB, one project) until you renew, and files remain accessible through SketchUp for Web.
