We run instructor-led SketchUp training - online or in person at our Hamilton office - from complete-beginner fundamentals through to advanced modelling and LayOut documentation. Professional CAD Systems is an Authorised SketchUp Training Center in NZ. Our trainers use SketchUp on real work every day, and we've used it since 2002.
Sessions are built around your actual work: bring a current project and the agenda follows it. Individuals book by the hour, teams book group sessions at discounted per-person rates, and every session comes with a recording so the lessons stick.
Training is enquiry-led - tell us who’s attending, what you’re building and where you’re stuck, and we will shape the session and quote it. If you’re on a Pro Plus or Studio Plus plan, NZ training course access is already part of your subscription.

How is training priced?
By the hour, per person, with half-day and full-day options and discounted rates when more than one person attends. Send an enquiry with your group size and goals and we will quote the session.
Can you train our whole team?
Yes - group training days are a staple, online or at the Hamilton office. Mixed skill levels are fine; we split the agenda accordingly.
I'm brand new to SketchUp - is that OK?
That's the best time to get training - good habits from day one beat un-learning bad ones later. We start from zero regularly.
I'm on a Pro Plus or Studio Plus plan - does that include training?
Yes - the Plus plans include NZ training course access and the advanced video tutorial library. Ask us what your plan already covers before booking extra hours.
What should I prepare before a session?
A current project or model, a list of where you get stuck, and SketchUp installed and signed in. We handle the rest.
What free resources should I use between sessions?
SketchUp's own free courses on Trimble Learn (formerly SketchUp Campus) cover fundamentals, modelling practice and LayOut essentials, and the official SketchUp YouTube channel's Square One series walks the core tools one by one. Training gets you unstuck faster; the free material keeps you moving between sessions.
