Artisan 2 gives SketchUp the organic modelling it was never built for: real-time subdivision surfaces, sculpting brushes and soft transformations - terrain, furniture, fabric, rocks, characters and every other form that refuses to be boxy.

For NZ work the headline tool is the Grade Brush: sculpt terrain with slope and direction control - driveways, building platforms, swales - shaping site models the way an earthworks contractor thinks, not vertex by vertex.

Subdivision surfaces, live

Model a rough cage and Artisan subdivides it into smooth form in real time - edit the cage, watch the surface follow. Couches, baths, landforms: the shapes that used to mean switching apps.

Sculpting brushes

Push, pull, smooth and detail geometry directly, with Auto-Add Detail refining the mesh where you're working and easier symmetry for anything with a mirror line.

The Grade Brush

Grade terrain with slope and direction control - sculpt a compliant driveway gradient or a building platform straight onto the site mesh.

Soft transformations that keep quads

Soft move, rotate and scale deform geometry naturally, with automatic folding and healing keeping the mesh clean - fabric, curtains and pillows that drape instead of crease.
