The Enscape educational licence gives currently enrolled students the full real-time renderer - the same Enscape NZ practices use, fully functional and without watermarks - at education pricing.
It’s for students enrolled part-time or full-time at a university or other government-accredited institution - architecture, landscape, interior and spatial-design programmes especially. Recent graduates aren’t eligible, and the licence is strictly non-commercial.
We handle verification here in NZ and have you rendering quickly - and when you graduate into practice, we’re the same people who sort your commercial licence.
Full Enscape for study
Real-time rendering, walkthroughs, panoramas and VR - fully functional with no watermarks, inside SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, Archicad and Vectorworks on Windows. On Mac (Apple Silicon), SketchUp, Rhino, Archicad and Vectorworks are supported; Revit is Windows-only.
Made for design schools
Crit tomorrow? Enscape’s real-time output means the render happens while you design, not overnight - and standalone exports let reviewers walk the scheme themselves.
Verification that's straightforward
Upload clear photos of your student ID or enrolment letter (front and back, 4 MB max each). The document must be current - dated within three months - show your full name and institution, and be in English or translated.
After graduation
Education licences stop at graduation - when the paid work starts, talk to us about commercial Enscape plans and we will move you straight across.
Enscape Educational Licence FAQs
Who qualifies?
Students currently enrolled part-time or full-time at a university or other government-accredited educational institution. Recently graduated students aren't eligible - the licence needs active student status.
I'm a lecturer - can I get an education licence?
This licence is for enrolled students, but educators employed at government-accredited institutions qualify for Chaos education licences too - talk to us and we will sort the right one.
What documents do I need?
A student ID card, enrolment certificate, institutional letter or transcript - current (dated within three months), showing your full name and institution, in English or translated. Screenshots of online portals aren't accepted.
Is it watermarked or limited?
No - the educational licence is fully functional with no watermarks.
Can I use it for freelance or paid work?
No - it's strictly non-commercial. Paid work needs a commercial licence; the monthly Enscape subscription is often the right first step. See Enscape Monthly, or ask us.
Does it renew automatically?
No - it expires one year from purchase, and renewing means re-purchasing and re-submitting proof of enrolment.
What else do I need for my course?
A host app - most students pair Enscape with SketchUp's student licence, or with the education pricing available for V-Ray if the course leans photoreal. Ask us and we will sort the whole student toolkit in one go.
