Sketch naturally on iPad
SketchUp for iPad supports Apple Pencil, multi-touch gestures and keyboard-and-mouse. AutoShape turns rough strokes into clean 3D shapes, Scan-to-Design converts a LiDAR scan of a real space into organised 3D geometry, and you can pull photo textures straight from the iPad camera into your model.

SketchUp for Web runs the modeller in a browser tab on any computer - no install, no graphics-card worries. Sign in with your Trimble ID and your projects are there.

Trimble Connect gives you unlimited cloud storage and cross-device syncing - start a model in the browser at your desk, refine it on the iPad on site. The 3D Warehouse adds a huge library of ready-made components.

Markup Mode lets you redline a design and capture decisions without touching the geometry, and you can view models in AR on site to check a design against the real thing.

What is the difference between Go and Pro?
Go is web and iPad only. Pro adds the desktop modeller for Windows and Mac, LayOut for 2D documentation, and extensions. If your work needs construction documents or plugins, you want Pro.
Can I install SketchUp on my computer with Go?
There's no desktop app in Go, but SketchUp for Web runs in the browser on any computer, with your projects synced through Trimble Connect.
How is Go different from the free version of SketchUp?
SketchUp Free is the browser-only modeller for personal use - one project, up to five collaborators and 10 GB of cloud storage, with no commercial licence. Go adds the iPad app, unlimited projects and storage, far wider import and export formats, monthly AI credits and a licence for commercial work.
What file formats does Go support?
Go imports DWG, DXF, DAE, KMZ, 3DS, DEM and STL and exports DWG, DXF, DAE, KMZ, 3DS, FBX, XSI, OBJ and VRML. On iPad you can also import PDF and export USDZ for AR viewing or MP4 walkthrough videos.
If I upgrade to Pro later, do my models carry over?
Yes - Go and Pro share the same file format, and your projects live in Trimble Connect under your Trimble ID. Talk to us and we will sort the upgrade.
Does the subscription renew automatically?
Yes, annually - you can cancel any time before the renewal date from your account and keep using Go until the period ends.
How quickly do I get my subscription?
You will receive your subscription details and sign-in instructions within one business day of purchase.
Is Go enough for professional work?
For sketching, site work, mark-ups and client walkthroughs, yes. For construction documentation, detailed modelling with extensions, or 2D output, you'll hit Go's edges quickly - that's what Pro is for. Talk to us and we will help you pick.
Can you invoice our business?
Yes - checkout supports paying on invoice for NZ businesses, and every purchase comes with a GST invoice in NZ dollars from Professional CAD Systems.
