Who qualifies?
Students enrolled at accredited institutions, verified with your student ID - and educators employed full-time or as visiting lecturers at government-accredited institutions qualify too. Teaching staff: talk to us and we will sort the right verification.
How does verification work?
During purchase you upload a clear photo of the front and back of your student ID (4 MB max each). We verify before the licence is issued.
Is it the full version of V-Ray?
Yes - Chaos education licences are full-featured one-year academic licences, covering the same host apps as commercial V-Ray.
Can I use it for paid work?
No - Chaos education licences are strictly for educational use, and any commercial (for-profit) work is outside the terms. Chaos can retroactively charge a misused licence at the full commercial rate, so freelance or paid work needs a commercial subscription - talk to us when that day comes.
Does it renew automatically?
No - it expires one year from purchase, and renewing means re-purchasing and re-submitting your student ID.
