Veras integration

  • Veras is now part of V-Ray. You can use it for AI image generation, AI image post-processing and video generation.
  • You can start Veras from the V-Ray / AI submenu, V-Ray toolbar, VFB toolbar, history context or Asset Editor.
  • You can send viewport screenshots or renders for AI processing.

Cloud licensing

  • V-Ray now supports Chaos Cloud licensing. The installer automatically migrates you from the License Server workflow.
  • You can change the licensing method after installation with the "Change V-Ray license settings" utility.
  • With Cloud licensing, you no longer need to install or manage the Chaos License Server. You can view your account's active licences in the Chaos licence control panel.

Improvements

  • You can now drag and drop multiple image files directly into the Asset Editor and Node Editor graph.
  • In the Node Editor, switching between Glossiness and Roughness in the V-Ray material now correctly updates the material's input labels.
  • Light Gen now uses auto-exposure for all classic Light Gen HDR scenarios. When you apply a scenario, the automatically calculated EV becomes an editable camera EV value.
  • AI Mood Match has updated interface labels to make them clearer.
  • An issue with downloading Mood Match environment textures when you load a .lighset file is fixed. The loading progress bar is also improved.
  • The material Displacement attribute is no longer labelled "legacy".
  • The "Utility" option no longer appears in the Texture Placement Type dropdown after you set a UVW Placement as a mapping source.
  • An issue with the Gradient map's preset dropdown is fixed.

Integration

  • The installer now has an option to disable all AI features.
  • Vantage viewport rendering resolution now follows V-Ray's render output resolution when you use Vantage 3.3 and later.
  • Enabling Scatter Cluster Painting during interactive rendering no longer makes Scatter instances disappear.
  • An issue with changing Multi Material inputs during interactive rendering is fixed.
  • An issue with the Scatter viewport preview is fixed. It occurred when you removed Scatter from an object after toggling it off and on.
  • A freeze that occurred when you enabled Scatter viewport preview in specific scenes is fixed.
  • An issue with applying Scatter during interactive rendering is fixed.
  • SketchUp no longer crashes in specific situations when you toggle Scatter during interactive rendering.
  • An interactive rendering issue is fixed. It occurred when you changed an object's material and then transformed the object.
  • An issue with toggling the Use Mtl Override parameter of Cosmos assets during interactive rendering is fixed.
  • macOS: An error message no longer appears after you install V-Ray on macOS Tahoe 26.4.1.
  • macOS: An issue with animation output in SketchUp 2026 is fixed.
  • Vantage now stays open when SketchUp closes, even if Vantage started as a child process.
