Download CAM2
CAM2 is FARO's inspection software for the Quantum X Arms. Since version 2020.4 it installs through the FARO InTouch app, which runs on Windows 10 and 11.
- Check your computer against the CAM2 system requirements.
- Open Software Download and Readme Files for CAM2 and fill in the form to download the installer.
- Uninstall older copies of CAM2, RPM, Device Center and CAD Translator first.
- Run the InTouch installer, then select Install on CAM2 in InTouch.
Install the arm driver and firmware
Your computer needs the FARO USB driver to talk to the arm. Quantum X needs driver 6.11.14 or later.
- USB driver for the FaroArm, ScanArm and Gage
- Firmware for Quantum FaroArms
- Current FARO software and firmware versions
Activate your CAM2 licence
Your licence arrives as a product key (18 or 20 characters) or a USB dongle, which is usually activated already.
- Install the FARO Licensing Manager if it is not already on the computer.
- Open the Licensing Manager and select Activate.
- Enter your product key and select Activate.
