Book a scanning job
We scan on site anywhere in New Zealand. Send us a brief and we scope the job before quoting.
Include these in your brief:
- Object: approximate size, material, surface finish and photos.
- Purpose: what the result is for, and the accuracy or tolerance it needs.
- Output: file format, CAD software, location, access limits and deadline.
What happens after you book
- Define output. We confirm what the data must support: inspection, reverse engineering, archiving or CAD.
- Plan capture. We confirm access, preparation, target accuracy and where the scan happens.
- Process data. We clean and align the scan, then create the agreed mesh, inspection data or CAD geometry.
- Handover. You receive the agreed files, with scope notes for the next step.
Get the right file format
We deliver mesh formats such as STL and OBJ, or CAD formats such as STEP, IGES, DXF/DWG and SOLIDWORKS. We agree the formats before work starts.
Hire a scanner
Hire suits teams that want to scan themselves. For a one-off job where you just need finished files, our scanning service is usually simpler.
Hire is arranged by enquiry so we can confirm the equipment, dates, set-up and support before accepting a booking. Include:
- Job: part sizes, materials, surface condition and required accuracy.
- Location and dates: delivery or site location, dates, access and working environment.
- Experience and output: operator experience, the software or CAD output you need, and the support you want.
Get help during a hire
We provide set-up guidance and phone support for the hire. If the job turns out to be bigger than the hire scope, we can take over on site.
