• Initial Support for Rhino 9 WIP: Enscape can now be installed with Rhino 9 WIP. This is early access aiming to assess compatibility and identify breakages.
• Image Quality Improvements
  • Ray-Traced Sun Shadows for Walkthrough Mode: This update enables software ray traced sun shadows in walkthrough mode, with performance optimized for small to medium scenes and a toggle option for user control.

• 24 FPS Video Output Setting: The Frames per Second dropdown in Visual Settings > Output > Video now includes 24 FPS as an option, enabling users to export videos with cinematic frame rates alongside existing values.
• UI enhancements
  • Visual settings: Ambient Brightness (Visual Settings > Atmosphere > Illumination) is now disabled as option when the Rendering Quality is not set to Draft

• • Chaos Academy Link Added to Help Panel: The Enscape Help panel now includes a direct link to Chaos Academy, making it easier for users to access learning resources and training materials.

Fixed Bugs

• CryptographicException When Exporting IES Lights to V-Ray scene: Resolved a rare issue where exporting scenes containing multiple IES lights to V-Ray scene could intermittently trigger a CryptographicException, potentially interrupting the export process.
• Fatal error when acquiring license for Enscape renderer window: Fixed an extremely rare race condition that could eventually lead to a crash with the fatal error “Failed while retrying to engage a license.”
• [SketchUp] Installing Enscape Into a Custom Directory Does Not Work: Enscape can now be can be installed correctly within folder that have any character or unicodes.
• [Rhino] View Switching Does Not Work With Multiple Documents: Resolved an issue in Rhino 8 where switching views from the View Management panel with multiple documents open only updated the camera orientation without displaying the correct geometry from the selected project.
• [Rhino] Installer Creates User Folder With System Rights: Fixed an issue where Enscape’s installer created user-specific folders with system-level permissions if Rhino had not been run before, causing permission conflicts and preventing Rhino from functioning correctly.

Known Issues

• SSO Login Prevents Second User from Accessing Enscape on the Same PC: When multiple users share the same PC, the first user can sign in to Enscape using SSO and access a floating license successfully. However, if a second user switches to the PC and tries to sign in with their own SSO credentials, the sign-in buttons become unresponsive, preventing them from logging in and using Enscape.
• [SketchUp] Metallic value lost after upgrading projects from SU 2024 to SU 2025: Metallic setting did not carry over, was lost (both visually and as a value).
• [SketchUp] Upgrading material with non-existing machine path crashes SU: Enscape crashes when moving from SketchUp 2024 to 2025 when the material has textures that cannot be found in the user system.
• [Rhino] Enscape Does Not Start If Documents Folder Is Inaccessible In Rhino: Enscape does not start and no error message is displayed.
