This official Veras release adds features and fixes.
Released on September 10, 2026.
New features
Proxy bake
- Write a small, untextured placeholder into the host model instead of the full mesh. Enscape renders the full asset in its place.
- In Revit, Proxy is the new default option in the Bake format dropdown. OBJ and DXF remain available.
- In SketchUp and Rhino, the new Bake geometry dropdown has Proxy (default) and Full geometry options.
- Cosmos assets bake as the Cosmos proxy outline. Generated meshes bake as a simplified silhouette.
- The Veras 3D view always shows the full model.
- Re-baking with Full geometry replaces the proxy with the full mesh.
- After a model refresh, Veras recognises its proxies and relinks them to their source renderings. It also reloads the full mesh into the 3D view.
Place from gallery
- You can now place an existing 3D model from the Gallery, alongside Generate and Search Cosmos library.
- Placing from the gallery is free and does not use a queue slot.
- The picker lets you search by name, category and engine. Use Load more to browse the full 3D model history.
- Every asset has a name and category on every host.
Microsoft TRELLIS 2.0
- Microsoft TRELLIS 2.0 is now in the 3D GEN engine list, with sharper geometry and full PBR materials.
- TRELLIS 2.0 uses the existing 3D GEN agreement.
- The rate limit dialog shows a countdown and usage details. Its Generate button retries all refused objects as one batch.
GPT Image models by OpenAI
- The new GPT Image 2.5 engine offers Fast, High (default), Extra High and Max quality options at 1K or 2K.
- GPT Image 2 is now available.
Grok Imagine 2.0 by xAI
- Grok Imagine 2 is now available.
- Both Grok Imagine engines now support reference images. Use up to four on Grok Imagine 1 Fast and Grok Imagine 2, and up to two on the Grok Imagine 1 Quality tiers.
Modified features
- Trellis is now named Microsoft TRELLIS 1.0. Hunyuan 3D 3.1 is now named Tencent HY 3D 3.1.
- The 3D view performs better when you hover over heavy assets.
- An interaction level-of-detail engine replaces the hide-geometry optimisation. It runs only on heavy models while the camera moves.
- Asset placement now uses the surface under the cursor.
- Imported GLBs now use the size stored in the file and are fully editable.
- Transform controls are now on the 3D canvas.
- Bake time now scales with asset size so large assets succeed. Failures are reported sooner.
- The busy indicator is now a progress ring outside the thumbnail.
- A blue ring now marks the thumbnail of a selected object.
- Renaming an object during generation now updates the rendering's pill immediately.
- You can now share 3D models. They have their own icon and label in share dialogs.
- Veras now remembers sketch visibility for each rendering.
- The update prompt now checks the installed plug-in version for each host application.
- Veras now shows a message when the graphics driver drops the 3D context, instead of showing a blank canvas.
Fixes
- Fixed the view jumping when switching between orbit and scroll-wheel zoom.
- Fixed the viewer freezing after scrolling during a drag or releasing the mouse outside the canvas.
- Fixed missing geometry in renders started during camera movement.
- Fixed middle-click pan and touch drag not ending correctly.
- Fixed assets being placed on a roof when dragging across multi-level floors.
- Fixed false timeouts when baking large assets, which caused duplicate copies on retry.
- Fixed the Cosmos search progress bar overlapping the bottom edge of the search field.
Known limitations
- Baking into the host model is supported only in Revit, Rhino and SketchUp. Support for Vectorworks and Archicad is not available yet.
- Proxy bake requires the Veras 5.1 plug-in for the host application.
- Design Lock is available only with the Nano Banana engines.
