Released August 28, 2026.

New features

MODEL tab

  • Use the new MODEL tab to turn objects in a rendering into 3D geometry.
  • DETECT OBJECTS finds and lists furniture, fixtures, planting and vehicles.
  • GENERATE creates a mesh of the selected object using Hunyuan 3D 3.1 for higher fidelity or Trellis for faster results.
  • Generated or matched assets appear at their source location with the correct size and orientation.
  • The object list runs several jobs at once.
  • Search the Chaos Cosmos library for a production-ready asset that matches the cropped object.
  • Veras selects the best match automatically. You can browse the results and choose another asset.
  • Refine the search with a text hint.
  • Cosmos assets appear at real-world size.

Bake assets into your model

  • Write placed assets into the live host model at their exact position. You can undo this in one step.
  • In Revit, assets bake as families on the correct level. Veras assigns the category and name automatically. OBJ and DXF types are supported.
  • In Rhino 7 and Rhino 8, assets bake as block instances.
  • In SketchUp, assets bake as native component instances on a "Veras" tag. This requires SketchUp plug-in version 5.0.0.0 or newer.
  • Bake all placed assets in the scene with one action.
  • Materials and textures carry over, including alpha-masked foliage cards.
  • Veras remembers baked assets on refresh and relinks them to their rendering. They stay editable.
  • Baking an asset again replaces the previous copy without creating duplicates.

Placed assets

  • Rotate assets by 90°.
  • Scale each asset individually.
  • Set the real-world size globally and override it for individual objects.
  • Click-to-select and hover follow the actual mesh, including baked assets.

IMAGE tab

  • Explore, Compose and Edit now share the IMAGE tab. The tabs are IMAGE, MODEL, VIDEO and GALLERY.
  • The Explore preset grid is now in a presets panel. You can pin the panel open and resize it.
  • Masks, sketches, selections and render mode tools work on any source.
  • Select a rendering as the source to edit it.

Modified features

  • The presets panel now opens at full height for new users.
  • The standalone 3D view buttons are now grouped into two caret menus.
  • Zoom to extents now frames generated content.
  • Generated assets now appear in the 2D rendering so you can see where a selected card is.
  • You can now cancel a generation or search from its card without losing your queue position.
  • Mesh generation now runs in the background. The slot counter shows detection progress.
  • The MODEL tab split view now includes Show Original and Show Preview.
  • A dialog now explains the Forma trial redirect.
  • A notification now identifies renderings that were not made from your 3D scene and cannot be used for asset generation.

Fixes

  • Fixed incorrect shading on generated meshes in Arctic and clay modes.
  • Fixed middle-click panning not working after Alt+Tab during an orbit.
  • Fixed Delete removing the source rendering instead of the focused asset.
  • Fixed the property pane twitching when its contents change.
