Overview

The VRayPlane is a very simple function that creates a procedural infinite-plane primitive for V-Ray.

UI Path: ||Toolbar|| > V-Ray Menu icon > Geometry > VRayPlane

Inputs

The following parameters can be controlled by inputs.

img – An optional input to load a bitmap or VRayMtl that will be applied to the plane.

Parameters

display – Specifies how the VRayPlane appears in the 3D viewer. The viewer can override this setting.

wireframe
solid
solid + wireframe
textured
textured + wireframe
unchanged

selectable – Enables the VRayPlane to be selectable in the viewer.

Notes

  • The position of the plane depends on its transformation in the scene.
  • You can have more than one infinite plane in the scene.
  • The plane is rendered with the material applied to the VRayPlane object.
