How V-Ray and Vision differ?
Most of the common material parameters used in V-Ray are supported in Vision. Some are still unsupported and thus see some differences in the way surfaces appear.
Vision is also still not capable of evaluating the global illumination in the scene. As a result closed interior spaces would be illuminated incorrectly in most cases. Calculating many light bounces is required for better results.

Notes
1. – By default, Vision is a lightweight viewer, so distributing the scene load is mostly unnecessary. Instead, Vision offers support for Live Link. This allows loading a heavy scene to V-Ray in one machine and streaming the view with Vision launched on another.
2. – For Fur to appear in Vision, the keyword "Grass" should be added to its name. Fur is only applied to the top surface of the object (+Z axis). A diffuse texture, used in a material applied to the fur (or its host object), will be downscaled to allow a smoother color variation between the individual tufts of grass.
3. – In V-Ray 7, the Simple Mix, Mix (Value), Mix (Operator) and Mix (Map) textures are deprecated. They are replaced by the Layered texture.
- Sun and camera animations from Grasshopper can be rendered in V-Ray Vision both through Live Link or from manually exported .vrscene files. Note that object animations are currently unsupported.
