This Veras update adds a view switch and improves sign-in. Official release date: October 28, 2026.
New features
Source, Rendered and Original in one switch
- Use the L and O keys to switch to Source and Original.
- Original shows the image used to make the selected rendering. For a video made from a first and last frame, use the caret beside Original to choose which of the two frames to show.
- Rendered shows the selected rendering.
- Source shows what your Source holds, such as your host's view or an uploaded image.
- Hover over a part of the switch to see a tooltip explaining what it displays. A part with nothing to show yet is greyed out, and its tooltip explains why.
- The toolbar's view buttons are now one three-part switch at the start of the toolbar.
Improvements
Clearer message when a render fails
- When the render engine cannot finish a render, you now see a plain-language message instead of a technical status line. It confirms that any reserved credits were returned and suggests trying again.
Faster tooltips
- Most tooltips now open after half a second instead of one second.
Staying signed in
- These sign-in improvements apply to Enscape, Corona and other Chaos apps.
- Veras now uses a sign-in renewed by the app without resetting as though it has been closed and reopened.
- Veras now asks the app for a fresh sign-in shortly before the current one expires. It also asks whenever a request is refused because the sign-in has expired.
- Veras now renews an expired sign-in and tries again instead of failing when you start an image render, check your credit balance, message the agent or run a node in NODES.
Fixes
Enscape
- Select by Material and Select by Object in the mask menu no longer select unrelated materials or objects with a similar ID colour. Previously, selecting a footpath could also select trees and plants.
Revit and Rhino
- Links in About Veras, including Customer Support and Content Enablement, did not open in the browser. Install the Veras 5.3.2.0 Windows installer to get this fix.
Uploads
- After you remove an uploaded file, selecting the same file again now loads it.
