Overview
The Chaos Corona Toolbar (also known as "Corona Official Toolbar" or "Corona Toolbar" in older versions) is a convenient tool for quickly accessing most Corona-specific objects and options. After installing Corona and launching 3ds Max, it will automatically open at startup.

Camera creation | Create Corona Camera – Adds a Corona Camera that can be used instead of the native 3ds Max cameras. | |
Create Corona Camera from view – Creates a Corona Camera from the current view. | ||
Light creation | Create Corona Light – Creates a Corona light that can be either an area light (using a circle or a rectangle) or an object light (using a sphere, cube, or cylinder). Hold left-click in the viewport and drag. | |
Create Corona Sun – Creates a Corona Sun, a realistic, physically correct sunlight source for illuminating the scene. Click in the viewport, drag and then click again to complete the creation process. | ||
Create Corona Moon – Creates a Corona Moon, which is a realistic and physically correct Moon, in your scene. Click in the viewport, drag and then click again to complete the creation process. | ||
Proxy creation | Create Corona Proxy – Create a Corona Proxy that can be used to simplify meshes in the viewport, thereby increasing performance. Click in the viewport and drag. | |
Decal creation | Create Corona Decal – Creates a Corona Decal object, which is used to project textures and materials onto your scene objects. Click in the viewport and drag. | |
Corona lister | Open unified Corona Lister – Opens the unified Corona Lister, where you can manage Corona lights, cameras, displacement, and proxies in your 3D scene. | |
Exporter | Open Corona Proxy Exporter – Opens the Corona Proxy Exporter, which allows you to export proxies. | |
Converter | Open Corona Converter – Opens the Corona Converter, which allows you to convert scenes made with other renderers to Corona. | |
Libraries | Open Corona Material Library – Opens the Corona Material Library, which provides hundreds of ready-to-use materials. | |
Open Cosmos Browser – Opens the Chaos Cosmos Browser. You can browse, place, and render pre-made 3D assets. | ||
Light Mix | Open Corona Interactive LightMix Setup – Opens the Corona Interactive LightMix Setup, where you can specify light grouping, whether hidden lights are considered by the LightMix setup, or whether denoising is applied to all Light Mix and LightSelect render elements. | |
Render | Open Corona VFB – Open the Corona Virtual Frame Buffer (VFB). | |
Start interactive rendering in Corona VFB – Starts rendering interactively in the Corona VFB. | ||
Start interactive rendering in an active viewport – Starts rendering interactively in the active viewport. | ||
Resume last render – Resumes the last render. | ||
Live Link | Start/Stop Vantage Live Link session – Initiates or stops a Live Link session between Chaos Vantage and Corona for 3ds Max. | |
Import | Import .vrscene – Opens the Import .vrsene dialog where you can browse for a suitable VRScene file and import it into 3ds Max. | |
Cloud Upload | Cloud Upload – Opens the Cloud Upload window, where you can upload a 3D scene to Chaos Cloud Collaboration. | |
Help | Open Corona Help Center – Opens the Corona Help Center, where you can search for useful troubleshooting guides or contact Chaos support. |
