Enscape for macOS release notes, dated 24.06.2026.
Improvements
- Enscape's interface now uses the Chaos design system. It keeps familiar workflows and follows the same design as other Chaos applications.
- Chaos Notification Center provides tips, feature updates and important messages through a dedicated inbox in the renderer toolbar. You can snooze notifications for an hour or until the next day. The old update popup has been removed.
- Enscape no longer has a 2 GB scene size limit. It can handle larger, more complex scenes without crashes caused by serialisation.
- Placing assets with the brush is now faster and more stable.
- The asset brush now distributes assets more evenly. It also handles density correctly when overlap is allowed at maximum density.
- The Help Panel now selects the tab for the current GUI mode automatically when you activate or change modes.
- Transitions between detailed grass and LOD grass are smoother. This reduces visible cut-offs, especially in orthographic views.
- Scene Export now preserves whether lights are enabled or disabled when exporting .vrscene files. Lights you switch off stay off in the exported scene.
- Enscape now finds the correct Cosmos Browser instance on shared computers. This lets the Asset Library connect reliably when several users are logged in.
- Chaos Cloud uploads now handle scenes with textures that use Unicode characters correctly.
- Updated log4net to address a security vulnerability in 3.2.0.
- AI Enhancer is no longer in beta.
- Chaos Notification Center no longer shows toast notifications or modal windows while the notification inbox is open.
- Updated Chaos License Server to 6.3.1. This adds a native macOS build of the License Server.
- Fixed the "database is locked" error in Chaos Unified Login when several Chaos applications register at the same time.
- Added native macOS builds of Chaos Unified Login.
- Full scene exports are now faster.
- Updated the Enscape and Notification Center translations.
