Release notes dated 01.10.2026.
Improvements
- Upload a reference photo to the Cosmos AI Assets Generator (Beta) to generate a textured 3D model. You can place and edit it in your scene like any other Cosmos asset. To reuse it later, find it under Downloaded > 3D Models > AI-Generated.
- Ray-traced sun shadows and artificial lights now share acceleration data instead of duplicating it. This reduces GPU memory use and speeds up navigation and exports in complex scenes.
- Renderer Host now shows how many missing assets are downloading (X of Y), so you can see progress when the progress bar appears stuck.
- The Configuration dialog in the Custom Asset Editor now has clearer directory guidance and warning messages.
- Cosmos Browser now starts automatically in the background when needed. You no longer need to start it manually.
- Enscape now detects and downloads Cosmos assets again if they are missing or only partially downloaded.
- Mood Match is now called Sky Match throughout the Chaos Assistant.
- Enscape now warns you if your CAD application is running a beta/preview version or a released version it does not fully support yet. You can choose not to show the warning again.
- Light icons are now hidden for artificial lights culled by a section box.
- Rasterisation now uses up to ~40% less GPU memory for scene geometry by allocating only the vertex data a model needs. This leaves more memory for larger, more complex scenes.
- Gridlines now use procedural lines instead of a stretched texture overlay. This fixes distortion in aspect ratios other than 16:9, such as portrait mode.
- High-resolution image captures now use less memory at their peak by reusing render targets more efficiently.
- Enscape now supports Vectorworks 2027, including its new OpenPBR material system.
- Enscape now has preliminary support for the SketchUp 2027 Beta.
Bug fixes
- Enscape no longer moves to the foreground during batch exports.
- Export windows no longer get stuck after you switch the active document.
- Fixed an issue that prevented you from starting a render export command.
- Image renders of the Current Camera now use the correct settings on export.
- Batch Rendering now follows the order shown in View Management.
- Light name changes in Archicad now appear in Enscape again.
- The Material Editor no longer selects the wrong material after you import an AI-generated material.
- The Material Editor now reads 100% glass opacity correctly.
- The Cosmos Asset Page no longer resets when you switch tabs.
- Enscape no longer stays on the loading screen indefinitely if an asset package fails to finish downloading.
- V-Ray Scene Export now includes geometry from Revit railing and line families that was missing from the .vrscene export.
- View Management now stays open when you select a view from another document.
- Site Context no longer shows an error when you leave the translation values blank.
- Site Context now places surroundings around the model correctly when the model footprint is rotated on the map. Previously, it placed them next to the model.
- Fixed the Rotate slider in Edit Site Context rotating the site context around its own centre and moving the model off its plot.
- Fixed an error when opening a project with too many Cosmos assets.
- The Video Editor no longer appears during export when you click outside Enscape.
- Repeatedly clicking the Chaos Assistant button before it opens no longer causes a crash.
- Using a safe frame no longer moves assets imported from the Chaos Assistant.
- The language you select during installation now applies to Enscape and the CAD menus.
- The Notification Center no longer requests unnecessary macOS permissions.
- Fixed a silent background crash in the Notification Center.
- Clicking an asset's edit gizmo no longer sometimes selects a different asset behind it.
- Fixed a brightness issue with ray-traced artificial lights when using emissive materials.
- Batch Rendering now finishes in large SketchUp projects with scenes that have active section planes.
- SketchUp no longer becomes progressively slower when you repeatedly edit a linked model placed using the Enscape Objects dialog.
- Fixed an exception that could appear when code erased a SketchUp page and no page remained selected.
- Vectorworks materials now apply roughness and bump textures to the correct channels. Previously, surfaces could look bumpy or shiny in the wrong places.
