Enscape release notes for Windows, dated 01.10.2026.

Improvements

  • Upload a reference photo to the Cosmos AI Assets Generator (Beta) to generate a textured 3D model. You can place and edit it in your scene like any other Cosmos asset. To reuse it later, find it under Downloaded > 3D Models > AI-Generated.
  • Ray-traced sun shadows and artificial lights now share acceleration data instead of duplicating it. This reduces GPU memory use and speeds up navigation and exports in complex scenes.
  • Renderer Host now shows how many missing assets it is downloading (X of Y), so you can see progress while the loading bar appears stuck.
  • The Configuration dialog in the Custom Asset Editor now has clearer directory guidance and warning messages.
  • Cosmos Browser now starts automatically in the background when needed.
  • Enscape now automatically detects and downloads Cosmos assets again if they are missing or only partly downloaded.
  • Mood Match is now called Sky Match throughout the Chaos Assistant.
  • Enscape now warns you if your CAD application is a beta/preview version or a released version it does not fully support yet. You can choose not to show the warning again.
  • Light icons are now hidden when a section box culls the lights.
  • Rasterisation now uses up to ~40% less GPU memory for scene geometry. It allocates only the vertex data the model needs, leaving more memory for larger, more complex scenes.
  • Gridlines now use procedural lines instead of a stretched texture overlay. This fixes distortion in non-16:9 aspect ratios, such as portrait mode.
  • High-resolution image captures now reuse render targets more efficiently to reduce peak memory use.
  • Enscape now supports Vectorworks 2027, including its new OpenPBR material system.
  • Enscape now has preliminary support for the SketchUp 2027 Beta.

Bug fixes

  • The .exe Standalone export now shows an error notification if the export fails.
  • Fixed image exports of the Current Camera using the wrong rendering settings.
  • Fixed Batch Rendering using a different order from View Management.
  • Light name changes in Archicad now appear in Enscape again.
  • Fixed the Material Editor selecting the wrong material after you import an AI-generated material.
  • Fixed the Material Editor reading 100% glass opacity incorrectly.
  • Fixed the Material Editor becoming unresponsive for a few seconds after you replace a material.
  • Fixed the Cosmos Asset Page resetting when you switch tabs.
  • Fixed Enscape staying on the loading screen indefinitely when an asset package did not finish downloading.
  • Fixed missing geometry from some Revit railing and line families in V-Ray Scene Export .vrscene files.
  • View Management now stays open when you select a view from another document.
  • Removed an error message that appeared when no values were provided for the Site Context translation.
  • Fixed hiding a single element in Site Context preventing further hiding or selection.
  • Fixed Site Context placing surroundings beside the model instead of around it when the model footprint was rotated on the map.
  • Fixed the Rotate slider in Edit Site Context rotating the site context around its own centre and moving the model off its plot.
  • Fixed mouse buttons other than the left button selecting geometry in Enscape Impact.
  • Fixed recommended room types missing from the Thermal Comfort room type selector in Enscape Impact.
  • Fixed hovered and selected rooms using the same highlight colour in Enscape Impact. You can now see more clearly when a room is deselected.
  • Fixed a Cosmos error when opening a project with too many assets.
  • Fixed exported standalones failing to open because of an unsupported window icon.
  • Fixed a crash when you repeatedly clicked the Chaos Assistant button before it opened.
  • Using a safe frame no longer moves assets imported from the Chaos Assistant out of place.
  • Fixed Enscape and the CAD menus not using the language selected during installation.
  • Fixed a background crash in the Notification Center that occurred without a visible error.
  • Fixed orbiting around a room in Enscape Impact accidentally selecting the room.
  • Fixed light icons failing to update after geometry changes unless you moved the camera.
  • Fixed clicking an asset's edit gizmo sometimes selecting an asset behind it.
  • Fixed GPU memory not being freed when Enscape automatically disabled ray-traced artificial lights or sun shadows because memory was full.
  • Fixed incorrect brightness in very small sphere lights when using ray-traced artificial lighting.
  • Fixed a brightness issue with ray-traced artificial lights when emissive materials were used.
  • Fixed inconsistent lighting when ray-traced artificial lights were disabled after an image export.
  • Fixed camera movement failing after some window resizes with DLSS enabled in Spectator.
  • Fixed extreme camera movement when frames were delayed.
  • Fixed the Revit Render Image (Into Document) command logging an error when the image had saved correctly.
  • Fixed SketchUp becoming progressively slower when you repeatedly edited a linked model placed through the Enscape Objects dialog.
  • Fixed an exception that could appear when code erased a SketchUp page and no page remained selected.
  • Fixed Vectorworks material roughness and bump textures being applied to the wrong channels. This caused surfaces to look bumpy or shiny in the wrong places.
