What is Sefaira?

Sefaira is a powerful tool used for providing building performance analysis of the geometry created in SketchUp. Sefaira can help provide meaningful metrics like:

  • Energy use and carbon emissions.
  • Thermal comfort.
  • Daylight Factor, Direct Sun Exposure, and Annual Daylight outputs.
  • Architectural impact on HVAC system requirements.

Sefaira is building performance analysis software that helps bring energy minded design insights into a SketchUp model. With Sefaira’s analysis engines, designers can get building performance results quickly and generate reports containing valuable metrics to help advance projects confidently.

Adding an Environment to a Model

Environments allow you to add 360°panoramic backgrounds and image-based lighting conditions to your SketchUp models. The Environments panel is where you can add and manipulate environments, or import High Dynamic Range Image (HDRI) files or OpenEXR files to create a new environment.
