Render images
Base properties
Variations sets the scene variation for this camera view.
Environment setups sets the environment variation for this camera view.
Camera Type sets the camera type used to render a snapshot.
Default uses the current project camera to render the snapshot.
Spherical uses a spherical camera with separate horizontal (FOV X) and vertical (FOV Y) field-of-view settings. Use it to generate latlong images for spherical VR.
Stereo spherical uses a spherical Left/Right stereo camera with separate horizontal (FOV X) and vertical (FOV Y) field-of-view settings. Use it to generate latlong images for spherical VR. Adjust Eye dist to change the stereo strength.
Horiz. FOV sets the horizontal field-of-view angle. It is available only when Camera Type is set to Spherical or Stereo spherical.
Vert. FOV sets the vertical field-of-view angle. It is available only when Camera Type is set to Spherical or Stereo spherical.
Eye dist sets the eye distance in mm used to render the stereoscopic image.
Focus rotation rotates the left and right views so their focus points meet at the Focus Distance set in the Camera tab. When disabled, the left and right view directions are parallel.
Top/Bottom sets the eye distance in mm used to render the stereoscopic image.
Resolution
Width / Height sets the rendered snapshot's width and height in pixels.
Aspect sets the aspect ratio of the render resolution.
Preset sets the render resolution using these predefined options:
720p uses 1280x720.
1080p uses 1920x1080.
1440p uses 2560x1440.
2160p uses 3840x2160.
Custom lets you set the width and height.
Render
Quality sets the rendering quality using 4 presets: Low, Medium, High, Ultra.
Samples sets the samples per pixel used to refine the image. A higher value improves image quality but takes longer to render.
Denoiser applies denoising to the rendered image when enabled.
Channels outputs render channels for compositing software when enabled. Choose specific render channels with the Select channels (
) button.
Select channels (
) opens the Channels (render elements) selection dialogue.
Output
My device sets the file path where the still image is saved on your computer after rendering.
AI Upscale image sends the image to Chaos Cloud Collaboration for upscaling. See the AI Upscaler page.
Choose Cloud upload destination opens the Cloud collaboration window, where you can create or select a Cloud Collaboration project. Images upload to the project after rendering, and you can upscale them with AI. For help creating and selecting projects, see the Chaos Cloud Collaboration page. For Cloud Collaboration features, see the Chaos Cloud documentation.
AI Enhancer uses AI to improve image quality, particularly for people, vegetation and large surfaces. It sends the image to the selected Cloud Collaboration project. You can also set a local folder to store an AI Enhancer compatible .exr file. See the Chaos AI Enhancer page.
File Format sets the output file format.
Save Settings XML saves the current settings in XML format.
Cancel closes the Render Setup window.
Start renders from the selected Camera using the current render settings.
