Overview
These video tutorials show you how to create and edit cameras, then animate them in your Envision project. Creation and selection happens in the left panel, while parameter modification happens in the right panel.
Create Cameras
To create a camera from the current view:
- Go to the Camera tab on the left and click the Create camera from current view () button.
Two black bars appear at the top and bottom of the viewport, marking the limit of your camera's field of view. - Move around the scene or use the camera’s transformation controls in the Details panel until the perspective matches what you want.
- When ready, it is a good idea to lock the camera's position with the button to avoid changing it accidentally.

Edit Cameras
To edit camera parameters:
- In the Camera tab on the left, select the camera.
- Go to the right-hand side Details tab.
There, you can adjust the camera’s position, rotation, FoV, DoF, and Exposure, as well as add color corrections. You can also rename the camera or lock it with the button to prevent further transformations.
All changes are saved automatically.

To add Depth of Field (DoF):
- Go to the Camera tab on the left and select the camera.
- In the right-hand side Details tab, enable the Depth of field toggle.
- Pick a focal point or adjust the Focal distance.
- Adjust the Aperture.

Animate Cameras
To animate a camera:
- Go to the Camera tab on the left and drag a camera from the list into the Timeline in the Bottom dock.
- The diamond shapes () represent the camera’s keyframes.




- Every time you move the camera in the viewport or adjust it using the transformation controls in the Details panel, a new keyframe is added to the camera clip in the Timeline. An animation is automatically generated between the new keyframe and the previous one.
- Click Play to preview the animation.

Animate Cameras along Paths
To animate a camera along a path:
- Prepare a path using the Path creation tool from the Toolbar.
- Go to the Camera tab on the left and select a camera.
- In the Details panel on the right, click the Move along path () button.
- In the viewport, select the path.
- Use the E key on your keyboard to adjust the camera height, then refine the movement by adjusting the camera rotation.

Track Objects with Cameras
To force the camera to look at an object during animation:
- Go to the Camera tab on the left and select a camera.
- In the Details tab on the right, click the Look at () button of the selected camera.
- Select the object you want the camera to track.
The camera will keep the object in view while moving along its path.

Delete Cameras
To delete a camera, do one of the following:
- Go to the Cameras tab on the left, hover your mouse over the camera you want to remove, and click Remove ().
- Go to the Objects tab > Cameras filter tab, right-click the camera, and select Delete.
- Go to the Objects tab > Cameras filter tab, select the camera and press the Delete key.
- Select the camera in the viewport and press the Delete key.
- Select the camera either from the list in the Cameras tab or the Cameras filter tab, or select it in the viewport. Then go to the Edit menu and select Delete nodes.
