Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT)

Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 requires any Information and Communication Technology (ICT) developed, procured, maintained, or used by federal agencies to meet certain accessibility standards.

Recently, SketchUp partnered with a 3rd party company specializing in accessibility testing. This company determines how SketchUp conforms to a strict set of accessibility-based criteria. These findings are compiled in a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT®) Version 2.4 Revised 508 Edition, a document explaining how SketchUp meets Section 508 standards for IT accessibility.
