The Projection options only take effect when Synchronize Views is disabled.
When Synchronize Views is enabled, the Projection is always synchronized from the CAD application and automatically locked in Enscape as long as Synchronize Views is enabled.

The Projection Icon is disabled when Synchronize Views is activated
Disabling Synchronize Views unlocks the Projection options again and restores them to the previously set Projection.
