Editing Components
When you edit a SketchUp component, you can edit the component definition or the instance, or both. Editing the definition changes every component instance in a model.

When you edit a SketchUp component, you can edit the component definition or the instance, or both. Editing the definition changes every component instance in a model. Editing just the instance makes that component unique and creates a definition separate from the other components in your model.
